Location

Cottages are facing the beautiful and largest backwater, “Lake Vembanad” in Kumarakom Village, Kerala State.  “Relax In Nature’s Luxury” during all seasons including the rainy season. Experience Sunset, during the rainy season, rain coming from the faraway and maximum breadth and length of beautiful Lake Vembanad is a unique scenery from Cottages. There is no sound or air pollution. A gentle breeze with enhanced oxygen content and purity of air will rejuvenate, tensions and strains will be relieved by staying at this cottage. 

Bedroom

The bedroom has basic comforts and moderately furnished to suit basic requirements, that is, 2 single coats, office table with 2 chairs, cupboard, air conditioner, fan, attached bathroom with hot and cold water, shower, European closet,Cable TV and WIFI Facility from the Porch. The area of the bedroom will be 135 Or 175 Sq. Feet.(If AC is required only at the night from 7Pm to 7 Am in the morning,there will be a discount of Rs 200)

Porch / Sit out

The porch and part of the premises are covered on the top, for giving more comfort, especially during the rainy season. Sit out/Porch is directly facing Lake Vembanad, which have the measurement of around 50  Or 100 Sq. feet.The porch with 50 Sq. Feet will have 2 easy chairs,teapoy and a fan and The porch with 100 Sq. Feet will have 4 easy chairs,teapoy and a fan. WIFI facility is available at the Porch, but there might be connectivity issues, it is better to have back up of  Jio / Idea or BSNL4 G, Sim / Connections.

Premises

There will be a dining table just in-font of the cottage, food and beverages will be served there itself. Clean and tidy Premises right in front of the cottage, up to Lake Vembanad. Lawn with buffalo grass and concrete Path up to the edge of Vembanad Lake. You can have daily walking and exercise in front of the cottage.

Facilities within the property

Experience, Walkers Path for Walking and Exercise, Basketball Court, Shuttle Court, Table Tennis & Caroms, Organic Farm with Fruit Trees, Vegetation and Small Stingless Honey Bee. You can also Catch Fish from the lake, but you may release it back to the Lake for creating awareness for preserving nature. Drifting of Houseboats, Shikara, Motorboats, Fishermen’s Boats, and Speedboats, and unique fishing of Pearl Spot Fish (Karimeen) can be experienced from the Porch of Cottages. Basic facilities for Swimming,in the lake,from the the Bathing Ghats, if you know swimming, then, after getting the permission and obeying the instruction of the consultant,by wearing Life Jacket, that also at Your Own Risk.

Restaurant & Lakeside Dining

There will be a dining table just in-font of the cottage on the bank of Lake Vembanad, food and beverages will be served there itself.  A safe place for having food and beverages, by keeping Social Distance, just in front of your Cottage. Vegetarian Food Package: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner from Rs 525 Per Person. Non Vegetarian Food Package: Vegetarian Breakfast,Non Veg Lunch & Dinner from Rs 695 Per Person. You can also order the food and beverages by referring Menu Card. There will be 5% Tax as extra to the total of Food & Beverage’s bill.

Cruising in Shikara, Houseboat & Speed Boat

We arrange to cruise in a Shikara Boat, through the Lake for 2 Hours for Rs 2000. Cruising in a Houseboat @ Rs 1500 Per Hour, Lunch & Evening Snacks per person Rs 400.Speed Boat For 1 Hour Rs 2500. You may pay the concerned charges directly to the providers of Cruising.

This Villa is with independent premises and has a spacious main bedroom,area is around 175 Sq.Feet. This Villa have also a very small bedroom of around 50 Sq.feet. The main bedroom has basic comforts and moderately furnished to suit basic requirements, that is, 2 single coats, office table with 2 chairs, cupboard, air conditioner, fan, attached bathroom with hot and cold water, shower, European closet,Cable TV and WIFI Facility from the Porch. The small bedroom have just a single coat and a fan only, the entrance to the small room is from the main bedroom. (If AC is required only at the night from 7Pm to 7 Am in the morning,there will be a discount of Rs 200)

Sit Out / Porch

The porch and part of the premises are covered on the top, for giving more comfort, especially during the rainy season. Sit out is facing directly Lake Vembanad.Which have an area of around 60 Sq. feet, with 3 easy chairs & fan. WIFI facility is available at the Porch, but there might be connectivity issues, so it is better to have back up of  Jio / Idea or BSNL4 G, Sim / Connections.

This Cottage has two interconnected,but independent AC bedrooms, with basic comforts and moderately furnished to suit basic requirements. The main bedroom is a larger one with 175 Sq. Feet and facing Lake Vembanad. The second bedroom is smaller with 135 Sq. Feet and not facing the lake. Each bedroom have 2 Single Coats, Cupboard, air conditioner, fan, attached bathroom with hot and cold water, shower, European closet, Cable TV. WIFI facility is available from the Porch/Sit Out of the Main bedroom. Bedrooms have separate entrances and are also interconnected through the middle door which can also be locked from both sides. This is a better cottage for the guests who are coming with their children and old aged people. (If AC is required only at the night from 7Pm to 7 Am in the morning,there will be a discount of Rs 400)

Sit Out / Porch of bedrooms of Cottage

The Sit out and part of the premises are covered on the top, for giving more comfort, especially during the rainy season.Main bedroom have a larger sit-out facing directly Lake Vembanad, the area of this sit out is 100 Sq. Feet, It have 4 easy chairs a teapoy and a fan.WIFI facility is available from the porch of the main bedroom. The second bedroom’s sit out is only 50Sq. Feet, and from there a partial view of the lake is visible. It have two easy chairs and a  Teapoy. Regarding WIFI there might be connectivity issues, so it is better to have back up of Jio / Idea or BSNL4 G Sim / Connections.

Family Villa (30 meters away from Lake Vembanad )

Location

This Villa is located 30 meters away from the beautiful and largest backwater, “Lake Vembanad” in Kumarakom Village, Kerala State. This Villa has two AC Bedrooms, facing the Walkers Path and greeneries, but you can have a partial view of Lake Vembanad from the sit-out of the Villa. Lake Vembanad is accessible by walking up to the bank of the Lake. There is no sound or air pollution. 

Two Bedrooms (But one bathroom)

It has two AC bedrooms, have basic comforts, and moderately furnished to suit basic requirements. The first bedroom is small,area of the bedroom is 100 Sq.Feet  and have one double coat, AC, fan, table and a chair. The Second bedroom is bigger, the area is 185 Sq. Feet., and have 2 Single Coats, AC, fan, attached bathroom with hot and cold water, shower, European closet & Cable TV. Bedrooms have only one entrance and are interconnected through a door that can also be locked from both sides. (If AC is required only at the night from 7Pm to 7 Am in the morning,there will be a discount of Rs 400)

Sit Out / Porch

There is a Porch to experience fresh air from Lake Vembanad,area of the porch is 100 Sq. feet, which have 4 easy chairs, Teapoy & fan. The main view is towards the greeneries and walkers’ path, but you can have a partial view of Lake Vembanad. WIFI facility is available at the Porch, but there might be connectivity issues, so it is better to have back up of  Jio /Idea or BSNL4 G, Sim/ Connections. The Sit out and part of the premises are covered on the top, for giving you more comfort, especially during the rainy season and for having your meals under the shade.

Restaurant & Unique Dining Experience By Lakeside

The best safe place for you to have food and beverages by keeping Safe Social Distancing as there is enough space at the Lake Side, by maintaining Social Distancing with other guests. 

You can also have a great dining experience by the Lakeside, that too, just in front of your lakeside cottages. Usually, we serve food, at the Dining Hall to all the guests for the purpose of convenience and easy management. We serve Kerala Veg Meals, Fish Curry Meals, Tapioca, Chappathi, Karimeen Fry, Karimeen Pollichathu, Shrimps, Lobster, Crab, Chicken Biryani, Beef Biryani, Barbecued Chicken, Tandoori Chicken Etc on the basis of prior order and confirmation. You may please refer to our Menu Card, before you give us, the order. 

Vegetarian Food Package: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Rs 790 Per Person. Non Vegetarian Food Package: Vegetarian, Breakfast, Non Veg Lunch & Dinner Rs 1315 Per Person. You can also order the food and beverages by referring Menu Card.

The Check-In Time is from 2 pm, Check-out time is before 12 Noon.

Add GST & Kerala Flood Cess

Add 12% to the Tariff as GST if the tariff is above Rs 999.

5% GST should be added to the total food bill.

The plan is E.P. That is the accommodation-only plan. All other services and the GST is extra. There will be an additional charge for an extra person, which will be different as per the location of the Rooms.

Walkers Path for Walking and Exercise, Basketball Court, Shuttle Court, Table Tennis, Caroms & Facilities for Fishing, Such as Fishing Rods, Fishing Net, Visiting of Organic Farm, Entire Property Visit through the Walkers Path, etc.Backwater cruising in Houseboat, Shikara, Motorboat, Speedboat, Countryboat and also by Govt ferry service.

Organic Farm

We have an Organic Farm where we have lots of Fruit Trees, such as Papaya, Vertical Farming of Passion Fruits, Spices, Medicinal Plants, Tubers, Trees, and Ayurvedic Plants. We have tapioca, papaya, etc throughout the year, irrespective of the rainy season. We have a minimum of two dishes every day, which are being prepared from the products, from the organic farm. Our farm is around 3 feet above the ground level, we made the farm by constructing a small wall around the farm and filled it with red sand, 8 years back. Therefore we have a live farm always, even it was alive during the time of the great Kerala flood of 2018.

Experience: Small Stingless Honey Bee (Meliponiculture)

We have at present 16 colonies of Small Stingless Honey Bee. They are part of biodiversity, these bees are local species, perfectly adapted to the environment. They are the main pollinators and produce incomparable quality honey, strong flavor, slightly acidic.

Houseboat /Shikara Cruising

We arrange Cruising in Houseboat, Motorboats, Shikara or in a Speed boat, you can have it from this property itself. you will get the speed boat for an hourly rate and all other types of the boat will be available for a minimum of 2 hours.

Power and Solar Power

We have a 100 KVA Transformer on our property for meeting our power requirements. We also have a 40 KVA Diesel Cummins Generator for the backup. We have 5 KV Solar Panel (TATA) as further back up for running the fans and lights and 6 Solar Powered Water Heaters (V Guard) with back up, which gives hot water to all the guests.

Waste Management

We have a Biogas Plant to manage our entire food waste, Vermicompost, EM Compost, and an incinerator manages complete solid waste of our property. Therefore, our property is clean and tidy.

Parking Space

We have enough parking area within our compound wall, in front of our office, for the safe parking of more than 40 cars.

Medical Help & Assistance

We arrange, if there is a requirement for medical help to any of our guests, during their stay with us.
